Teva Trails Challenge
Adventure doesn’t wait, why should you? The Teva Trails Challenge encourages your inner child to head out the door and explore your local trails throughout the month of September! Join a team or go solo, it's your adventure. Earn badges and rewards along the way while you explore your local trails!
The Teva Trails Challenge is your permission slip to run wild. For one month, your local trails become your personal playground. Whether you're clocking miles with friends or sneaking in solo dirt time, this challenge is about chasing dirt, not distance. Sign up, strap in, and start exploring.
If you are in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC, Richmond, VA, or Washington D.C., there are 5 trails in each location for you to experience. Or wherever you find yourself, there are 10 ‘Hike Anywhere’ trails waiting for you. Just choose any trail one mile or longer and record it on your tracking device. Your trail can be a simple path out your front door or an uphill mountain trek. It’s up to you!
- September 1 - Teva Trails Challenge begins (12am MDT)
- September 30 - Last day of the Teva Trails Challenge (11:59pm MDT)
The Teva Trails Challenge is free and open to hikers, walkers, runners, and people utilizing mobility assistance devices. So find some dirt and chase your wahoos.
Registration Details
1. Create an account with Terrain Scouts.
2. Register for the Teva Trails Challenge.
3. Link an activity tracking account to the challenge (don’t worry, there are several free tracking options! You’ll be able to create one if you don’t already have one).
4. If you are using an activity tracking app on your phone, be sure it is downloaded and that you are logged on. Better yet, go test it out and make sure you know how to start, end, and save your activities before the challenge starts.

Be sure you’re ready for all your hikes in the right footwear. Visit your local shop and try on your next favorite pair of Teva.
Be sure to check in on the dashboard throughout the month to see your progress, view the Current Standings, Team Rankings, and badges earned. And don’t forget to upload photos from your trail time on Instagram using #TevaTrailsChallenge. We love to see pictures from your trail experiences!
